The race was originally supposed to be on Valentine’s day but because of DC’s snowpocalypse the race was postponed until February 28th.
Chris Farley, Pacers Running Store owner said, “we’re trying to keep it fun. Valentine’s Day is for togetherness, love so we said what a great time for an event and it’s worked out great.”
Racer’s bibs were organized in the Facebook relationship status fashion.
Red for in a relationship.
Green for single.
And yellow for “its complicated.”
No matter what your status is you can always love the run you’re with.
PERRY’S DRAG QUEEN BRUNCH
Perry’s, a restaurant, in Adams Morgan has been having a drag queen brunch for 17 years on Sundays. The queens spend a lot of time doing their make up and getting ready to perform for the packed place on Sunday mornings. The queens lip-sync to different songs and entertain the friends and family that attend the brunch. People have dollars in their hands for the performances that the queens do. Men and women of all ages and races come to this one of a kind brunch. GiGi Couture and Xavier Onassis Bloomingdale are the constant performers that keep the crowd laughing and entertained while eating their food. The brunch is fun and entertaining and one of a kind for sure. Oh and I forgot to mention that the food there is FABULOUS.
